Our story

We built the support we wished we had.

It started with a phone call from the hospital. A few days after our son was born, his newborn screening revealed congenital hypothyroidism. At the follow-up appointment, we learned how to manage the basics: a few drops of medication every morning, on an empty stomach, and regular blood tests to monitor his levels.

Then we went home. With a treatment plan, but without a guide for everyday life.

The questions came quickly. Can he drink milk after his medication? What if he spits out a dose? How do we help grandparents and caregivers understand what he needs?

We searched for a tool that could help us navigate these daily challenges. Nothing existed. So we built ThyroKid: first for our own family, and now for every family facing a congenital hypothyroidism diagnosis.

ThyroKid combines lived experience with clinical expertise to support families with daily treatment management, trusted information, and greater confidence from day one.

Lab results In development

Understand the numbers behind your child's care.

After a blood test, families often receive results like TSH and free T4, but little explanation of what they mean or what questions to ask next.

We're building a module that helps put lab results into context: how values compare for your child's age, how they may change with treatment adjustments, and what to discuss at the next appointment.

No diagnosis. No replacing your doctor. Just clear information to help families feel informed and prepared.

This feature is currently in development. The image shows a design concept.

What we want to change

A diagnosis should come with support, not unanswered questions.

Newborn screening has transformed outcomes for children with congenital hypothyroidism. Today, most babies are diagnosed within days of birth and can start treatment early. But diagnosis is only the beginning. After leaving the hospital, families face years of daily medication, regular blood tests, and countless questions between appointments, often without a trusted source of guidance. That is the gap ThyroKid was built to close.

Today

Supporting families every day

Helping families manage the essentials of congenital hypothyroidism: medication tracking, nutrition guidance, and trusted education, available in three languages from day one.

Tomorrow

Connecting the full care journey

Expanding support with lab result insights, caregiver tools, travel guidance, and deeper collaboration with pediatric endocrinology teams.

Beyond
